School Calendar Adjustment: To maximize face-to-face instructional time, the district will be cancelling two of the three remaining early dismissals.  January 29th and April 9th will now become full instructional days. May 21st will remain an early dismissal to allow for Senior Presentations.

Dear Western Beaver County School District Families, We have a special announcement for all K-12 students, their families, and teachers/staff – tomorrow, December 17 will be a virtual update of the Official Old-fashioned Snow Day!!! All Western Beaver schools will be closed. Your assignment is to have FUN at home with your family. Build a snow man, go sled riding, make snow angels, build a snow fort, make hot chocolate, bake cookies, build a fire, and relax! These activities will count towards Physical Ed class, Family and Consumer Science class, STEAM class, Math, ELA/ Reading classes, Science, and Social Studies class for all grades. Please be as creative as possible, as we will be asking you to share some of your experiences. Forget all of the stress and anxiety we have experienced and just enjoy a proper Snow Day. Please take this opportunity to make those wonderful memories and be prepared to share with your teachers and classmates when we all return to classes on Friday, December 18. The Varsity Football Team travles to Brentwood for their next contest this Friday, October 9th, at 7PM. Do to the 25-250 mandate, we will not be given any tickets to the game. The game will be live streamed through TribHSSN.TribLive.com

Tomorrow, Saturday, September 26th will be Fall Senior Day. Festivities will take place at 11:30am in the football stadium. All Senior members of Volleyball, Band, Cheer, and Football will be honored. Tickets will be distributed through coaches and sponsors. Each Senior will receive four tickets for the game. All underclassmen will receive two tickets. Kickoff for tomorrows game vs Ligonier Valley will be at 1:30 PM. Congratulations and best of luck to all!

It's time to get your flu shot! Contact your PCP, pharmacy, or clinic and get that done in next few weeks. It takes about 2 weeks to build up immunity. Please consider vaccinating the entire family this year !

Best of luck to the Middle School football team today vs Rochester. This is a home contest that will kick off at 4:30pm. Parents and family may attend, as we will be well under the 250 person limit. We ask that all spectators please obey the mask and social distancing mandates.

The Golden Beaver Varsity Football Team travels to Beaver this Saturday, September 19th. Kickoff is 7:30pm. To stay under the 250 spectator mandate, Beaver cannot offer us any tickets for this contest. However, parents can access the game via livestream though the NFHS network.

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV Volleyball Team on their sweep of South Side! Our next section match will be vs Union on 9/17. Parents can access this game via livestream on the Union Area High School YouTube channel.

South Side High School has allocated us 25 tickets to distribute to parents for Friday nights game. Administration will distribute those tickets to team members tonight based upon seniority and projected playing time. We will make every effort to have at least one parent in attendence for those players who are at the most risk for injury. Under the 250 person gathering guidelines, we understand it is a task to make sure that as many parents can attend as possible. A big thank you goes out to South Side for making these tickets available. Those who cannot attend can access the game on our facebook.com livestream located on the LPPACS and WB Athletics page.

Pre-K Families, Letters regarding Pre-K orientation have been mailed home. It will be held Wednesday, August 26th, between 12:00pm-2:00pm.Students and families will be split into three small groups. In the letter you will find your child’s classroom assignment and also the session in which you will be able to meet your child’s teacher.

Western Beaver County School District One to One Technology Plan The WBCSD is offering a one to one technology plan for every student district-wide, grades K-12. For students in Grades K-3: It is assumed that all students will be participating and purchasing a device through the district’s technology service agreement of $50 for a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1” device. If you wish to purchase a personal device or have a financial hardship, please contact Mr. Busby at the Fairview Elementary office at 724.643.9680. For students in Grades 4-12: Each student will be required to have a device. The district provides the option for each student to purchase a device through the district’s technology service agreement. This agreement will allow each student to receive an HP Chromebook at an annual cost of $75 for the initial student and $35 for any additional student in the household.
